STRANGE ENCOUNTER

Lonely, the ways of life
Long, weary, never-ending.
Deep are the rivers on the way
Slow or fast but ever flowing.
Passing through crowded lanes
Chance brings forth a stranger.
The face, with you for a moment
But the soul entwined forever.

A long awaited, familiar voice
Reaches out to carry you away
To a far-off, man forsaken place
But wait, the world stands in your way.
Waves of love, dashing to the shore.
Eyes whisper what lips dare not.
In which life did we meet before?
But gone is the face, lost in the fray

Left behind is a heart with memories
Of a smile, that spoke today
Come away forever with me
Forget all the yesterdays.
Now the roads are not too dark
For hope now lights the way.
A kindred spirit could meet you again
Sometime, somewhere, someday.
