Shakespeare-in love

I go about in a daze

avoiding your accusing eyes

as you upturn every moment

in your search for Iago-

in the bits of conversation

left hanging for  you to catch,

in the crumpled slip of paper

absentmindedly left behind.

Sometimes I see you almost beg

then I too pray the same-

Give him a face, any name

if only to vindicate your  desperate hunt

Seeing the truth

with an almost lucid conscience

Othello incomplete

without an Iago.
