A beautiful day for poetry

On February 15th, in Cobourg Canada, poetry appeared in the streets. 120 poets from all over the world sent in more than 500 love poems that were displayed on store windows and read out to the public who were willing to stop and listen by 12 volunteer ‘wandering’ poets.

Watch the video to get an idea of how it was done. The event seems exciting and fun more so because it incorporates and embodies the true spirit of poetry.

Very happy that two of my love poems  have been a part of this poetry event.

So, here are 10 of the 120 poets who submitted poetry that was displayed on the outside of store windows in {piCs} “poets Downtown Cobourg” event on Saturday, February 15, 2014:
Rhonda Lee Stephenson
Ampat Koshy
Catherine M. Thompson
Jeffrey Mackie
Micheline Maylor
Shloka Shankar
Beck Pura
Sean Wood
Reena Prasad
Tamara Nikic
Shared with all thanks and full credit to Pic Spaces and fellow poets.
