Going green

Jealousy by David Junod
Jealousy by David Junod

Waves that tear at me
appear to touch you feather-soft
I wait to swim to your side
they never recede

You part them easy
yet they lap around
their tongues flicking your hair

It hits me then
they writhe in ecstasy at your touch
and lunge at me with water-daggers
